Blue Tansy oil is your skincare’ bestie when it comes to getting your skin off to the “glow platform”. It’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties puts it among the heroes in the world of cosmetics as far as natural ingredients are concerned. It is most commonly used to calm irritated or troubled skin, reduce inflammation and protect delicate skin.
Blue tansy’s ability to unclog pores, get rid of unwanted bacteria that cause breakouts and pimples and reduce redness or inflammation, makes it one of the best oils for acne-prone skin.

In addition to its cosmetic benefits, there are other benefits to using Blue Tansy such as the effect of its aroma/scent . Blue tansy as an essential oil has a lot of emotional properties that are similar to that of chamomile. It may be useful for relaxation. It has been suggested that it may also aid hormone regulation and anxiety calming processes.

Rosehip oil: contains Linoleic acid (a free fatty acid) which is an essential component of ceramides known to help in keeping skin moisturized. It is equally packed with high levels of vitamin C, making it a potent anti-aging oil. The antioxidant property of Vit.C helps in protecting against and repairing UV damage and helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Rosehip is rich in carotenoids which are Vit.A-like compounds that help in regulating skin cells turnover that may subsequently result in brighter and more even complexion. The Vit.C has also been shown to help in reducing hyper-pigmentations through its skin brightening properties.
Retinoids- another component of rosehip oil eg trans-retinoic acid helps in speeding up cell turnover. Contains vitamins A, D & E as well as antioxidant flavonoids that may help to minimise the effects of stress and aging. Helps in rebuilding collagen and potentially reduces the appearance of fine lines.
Frankincense oil: this has been found to be effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It has been in use for many centuries since Ancient Egypt acts as an anti-aging powerhouse; helping to keep the skin supple and youthful. It may help in toning skin as well as promoting new skin cell growth.
Vitamin E: famously known as powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals by neutralising them. Free radicals which are unstable molecules in the body that can cause cell damage by interacting with other body cells, may be caused by our bodies, aging, daily living or external factors such as radiation, environmental pollutants, ozone and tobacco smoke. These free radicals have been linked to a number of ill health conditions. Vit. E also had moisturising properties helping to not only soothe the skin but reduces the appearance of dry skin. A dry skin may look more creased whilst a hydrated and well moisturised skin may appear more youthful, adding to its anti-aging effects.
Jojoba oil: has a striking resemblance to the sebum of our own skin and has been shown to minimise moisture loss thereby enhancing the skin?s suppleness and flexibility. Had anti-inflammatory properties helping it to calm irritated skin. Also rich in Vit. E & B-complex for skin repair processes. Very rich in Vit. A & D, fatty acids and antioxidants. It is able to penetrate deeply beneath the upper layer of skin to provide maximum nourishment. This property enables it to work very well with other active ingredients hence why it is one of the best carrier oils for both skin and hair. It balances oily skin by helping to regulate oil production. It has an anti-aging property due to its rich moisture retaining ability, it is suggested that a we?ll moisturised skin can help to smoothen the appearance of wrinkles. It has also been linked with collagen production which improves skin elasticity thus making it appear youthful.
Application: For Cream & Oil:
Apply a small amount to face, neck and décolleté using fingertips. Massage gently in an upward manner until absorbed. Can be used at both night and day. A little goes a long way so if wearing underneath makeup, use a tiny amount and massage until fully absorbed before applying makeup.
For Cleanser: squeeze a little amount onto palm and either massage gently on your face or mix with a tiny amount of water and watch as it turns into milk. Then cleanse your face with the cleanser and rinse off with lukewarm water. Repeat if necessary until all makeup, oil, dirt and impurities have been removed. Pat dry your face with clean towel and proceed with the cream. If using water-based serum, then apply that first followed by the cream and then sunscreen.
Facial oil is best used at night on thoroughly cleansed face. Also suitable for day after your serum/cream, but apply sparingly especially if using under makeup.
